Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We collect the following, all of which you provide or generate by using the app:

• Account details — your name and email address. If you sign up with email and password, we store a securely hashed (bcrypt) version of your password, never the password itself. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and Google account identifier.
• Training data — your ACS confidence ratings, study notes, endorsement and checkride-prep progress, oral-quiz results, logged flight hours, selected certification, and an optional checkride date.
• Purchase records — if you buy a course unlock, we store the Stripe checkout session ID, amount, certificate purchased, and status. We never see or store your card number — payment details are handled entirely by Stripe.
• Local preferences — your theme choice and the figures you enter into the weight & balance and personal-minimums tools are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device, not on our servers.

How we use it

• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To save and sync your training progress across your devices.
• To process and record your purchases and unlock paid content.
• To send you transactional email you request, such as a password-reset link.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the service.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising or third-party tracking/analytics cookies.

How your information is shared

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app:

• Stripe — payment processing. Your payment is handled on Stripe's systems under Stripe's privacy policy.
• Google — only if you choose “Sign in with Google,” to authenticate you.
• Our hosting, database, and email providers — to store your data and deliver transactional email on our behalf.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. For details, see our Cookie Policy.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account; doing so permanently removes your profile and associated training data from our database. Purchase records may be retained as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Your choices and rights

• Access & correction — view and update your name from Settings; contact us for anything else.
• Deletion — delete your account from Settings, or email us to request deletion.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example under GDPR or CCPA). To exercise them, contact us at the address below.

Children's privacy

Student pilots can begin training young, but the service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate we will notify you.
